The Head of the region brought up a subject of agricultural development in his investment message on Tuesday, March 19th, 2019.

Ivan Belozertsev called the recent years for Penza region the age of colossal breakthrough in agriculture which became possible due to the implementation of large investment projects.

“Investors brought new technologies and new production standards into the region compelling many agricultural producers to catch up to reach the certain level, - noted the Governor. – The gross output volume at farming enterprises of all categories exceeded 74 billion rubles in 2018, and the amount of investments reached 15 billion rubles”.

At the same time, he emphasized the necessity to assist the development of small farms as well, as they offer jobs to rural population in districts.

“The most efficient is agricultural cooperation, because farmers are unable to deliver the volumes required to enter the market single-handedly, - stated Ivan Belozertsev. – I instruct the Ministry of Agriculture of Penza region, the Agroholding and heads of municipalities to actualize the concept of agricultural cooperation in districts and to develop an eco-brand for Penza’s farming products by the 1st of July”.
