The Governor took part in the opening of XI Conference of Software Developers “SECON 2019” at the Penza regional library named after Lermontov on Friday, April 19th, 2019.

Before the program’s commencement the Head of the region observed an exhibition of IT projects demonstrating the products of leading companies in the field creating software, computer games, security systems, online services, communicational infrastructures and document management systems.

The Head of the region was interested in a project by INCOM company group on familiarizing guests and residents of Penza with its sights online through mobile applications.

“We can make so-called reference points and site pictures there. Being at such point you need to direct your phone at a historical building, - said the director of INCOM CG Sergey Komlev. – A passerby comes, downloads, directs a phone at a historical building depicted on photo and witnesses history becoming life, people on balconies, carriages passing. We can create very interesting animation”.

“You prepare a presentation to have a clear understanding of the result, I will invite representatives of the municipal administration and the architectural community, - offered Ivan Belozertsev. – If this truly is a good idea, if we agree that it will benefit the city’s image, we will support its implementation”.

The Governor noted he was very glad that the conference of software developers had become a good tradition for Penza region.

“I observe that every year the interest in SECON grows. As a governor I am sincerely interested in IT development to progress in the region, - addressed Ivan Belozertsev to participants of the conference. – Without IT development it is impossible to accomplish a breakthrough at the economy – the one all the regions have been set to fulfil by the President of Russia Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin”.

“In Penza region over 2000 specialists are employed in the IT sphere, although it is not enough, - emphasized the Head of the region. – IT specialists must be fostered literally fresh from school. Last year we assigned funds from the budget to create an informatics student book which is already being delivered to municipal schools. As for graduates, there must be created conditions enabling them to find their place in vast IT space by getting a job to their liking”.

In order to train specialists in the IT sphere the Government of Penza region has elaborated a project “Personnel for the digital economy” in the framework of the national program “Digital Economy of the Russian Federation”. Together with the IT community there has been developed a conception of the Foundation for Digital Technology Support. It is planned that annually the Foundation will offer 100 grants in the form of competition 200 thousand rubles each for teachers of engineering subjects and 100 scholarships of 2000 rubles per month for talented students.
