The opening ceremony of a new agro-industrial plant was held on Wednesday, May 29th 2019. It was attended by the Governor of Penza region Ivan Belozertsev and distinguished guests: a deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Elena Fastova, the first deputy chairman of the Board of “Rosselkhozbank” Irina Zhachkina, the Governor of Stavropol region Vladimir Vladimirov, the first deputy chairman of the Government of the Republic of Karachai-Cherkess Eldar Baychorov.

It should be reminded that the largest in Russia and Europe agro-industrial holding has been functioning in Penza region from the very establishment. In Penza region the company is developing two out of its total of four fields of production – “Turkey meat production” and “Milk processing”. 

From the very first days of the company the regional government has rendered comprehensive assistance, particularly including allocation of lands, construction of infrastructure, organizational support to business projects.

The new plant’s turkey meat processing capacity is around 155 thousand tons of finished products per year. The facility is built in Nizhny Lomov district of Penza region in immediate proximity to poultry farms. 

The total value of the implemented investment project is over 11 billion rubles. It was covered by the company’s funds as well as financed by “Rosselkhozbank”. 

The facility has been erected in a record-breaking period – only 1,5 years. At the present moment the facility employs over 2000 workers. 

According to a deputy of the Minister of Agriculture of Russia Elena Fastova, the plant fulfils an important objective of increasing the volume of export shipment set by the Head of the state.

“It is truly the largest turkey-processing plant in Russia. As you know, the goal of the Ministry of Agriculture is to facilitate the development of our producers’ business. I wish your factory good luck and achievement of all production indices”, specified the deputy of the Head of a Federal Office.

The Governor Ivan Belozertsev called the opening of the new factory a large event not just for Penza region, but for the whole country. 

“We are opening the largest and most up-to-date factory in Russia. What’s in it for Penza region? Creation of new jobs in districts with average salary of 37 thousand rubles. Today we have young personnel coming from other regions to us to work at this company, because it is powerful and promising for development”, emphasized the Head of the regional executive power also mentioning high quality of “Damate’s” products.

The Governor of Stavropol region Vladimir Vladimirov said that today “Penza region is ahead of the whole world” and called the “Damate’s” facility a production of tomorrow.

“Such production gives people an opportunity to look into future with confidence”, stated the Head of Stavropol region.

The first deputy chairman of the Board of “Rosselkhozbank” Irina Zhachkina revealed the total amount of “Damate’s” implemented projects financed.

“A few years ago, when Rosselkhozbank was addressed by “Damate” group of companies, we had doubts. Today it is our business partner. For the years passed over 50 billion rubles have been invested in development of production”, specified the deputy chairman of the Board of Rosselkhozbank.

“Organizing our company we have never aspired to be the first, our main goal is to be the best. The poultry-processing plant that we are launching today is a bright example of such approach, - commented on the event the chairman of the Board of Directors of “Damate” GC Naum Babaev, - Cutting-edge equipment, modern technologies, numerous innovations bring the process of turkey meat processing to a new level and, most importantly, enable us to produce high-quality, safe and fresh products”.
 
At the present time “Damate” GC is one of the largest employers in the agricultural sector of Penza region. The company is present in Nizhny Lomov, Kolyshley, Vadinsk, Mokshan, Spassk and Narovchat regions. 

Facilities operating in the fields of turkey and milk production employ over 4500 people.
