The meeting of Ivan Belozertsev and Vincenzo Trani took place at Saint-Petersburg International Economic forum on Wednesday, June 5th, 2019.

The Head of the region stated that business contacts between Penza region and the Republic of Italy had been developing over 10 years. In the territory of the region there are enterprises with Italian capital operating successfully: “Penza zavod Telema GINO” producing industrial equipment for the railway sector and “Simem” company (“Betonium” OJSC) manufacturing construction materials.

Ivan Belozertsev emphasized that Penza region could offer Italian business new areas of collaboration. First of all, clothing manufacture, production of furniture fittings and fabrics, as well as projects in construction and agriculture.

“Our region possesses everything necessary for large-scale cooperation: high industrial and innovation potential, powerful construction industry, considerable capacities for agriculture and forestry, high-qualified personnel”, accentuated the Governor. 

“It is crucial for us to shape a new image of Penza region as an international business-friendly subject of the Russian Federation, - he added. – We have a lot to offer to investors – from infrastructure for business to preferences for large projects”.

Ivan Belozertsev invited the president of the Italian-Russian Trade Chamber to visit Penza region to estimate on site the regional investment potential and proposed Vincenzo Trani to consider a possibility of organizing a presentation of Penza region in Italy.

Vincenzo Trani supported the projects suggested by Ivan Belozertsev and expressed his desire and readiness to expand cooperation between Penza region and Italy, first of all in the field of small and medium business.
