On the grounds of Saint-Petersburg International Economic Forum Ivan Belozertsev and Milena Alexandrova discussed further development of operations of the said company in Penza region on Thursday, June 6th, 2019.
For three years of cooperation there have been concrete measures undertaken to implement investment projects in Penza region – production of oil from hemp and other oil-bearing crops was established, preparations for establishment of new production sites are currently under way.
“We are aware of your plans to build in Penza region a full-cycle factory delivering high-quality and healthy products made of hemp”, addressed the Governor to the head of Konoplex.
“We are ready to support further development of your business on Penza soil – production of high-quality cellulose from fibre crops”, emphasized Ivan Belozertsev.
He also specified that the production under construction was aimed at manufacturing new import-substituting and export-focused high-tech products in the territory of Penza region. It is one of the objectives of the national economy set by the President of Russia.
As a result of the negotiations the parties signed a Protocol of Intent. In particular, the document provides for measures intended to implement the investment project “Production and storage complex for hemp processing” in Penza region.
