Ivan Belozertsev and Dmitriy Rogozin agreed to cooperate in the space sector

Business negotiations of the Head of “Roskosmos” and the governor of Penza region took place on Friday, June 7th, 2019 in the framework of Saint-Petersburg International Economic Forum.

In the course of the meeting the parties signed an Agreement of Cooperation. It stipulates collaboration of the parties for the purpose of socioeconomic and innovation development of Penza region, improvement of the living standards of the regional population. The agreement also covers issues of development, popularization and utilization of space activity results, improvement of the image and preservation of the heritage of the Russian cosmonautics, maintenance and development of high-tech production, research, engineering and staff potential of organizations affiliated with “Roskosmos” state corporation located in Penza region.

“We have initiated stable and broad adoption of space activity results in Russian regions. The services created by us should become a useful auxiliary instrument for regional administrations and help improve the quality of people’s lives. We will do our best to implement them as soon as possible throughout the whole Russian territory”, emphasized Dmitry Rogozin.


“Our region, traditionally, since the Soviet age, has been bound with the space sector. We are proud of it! And nowadays an enterprise from Penza – Research Institute of Physical Measurements – is manufacturing sensors and electronic converting devices for items of the rocket-space equipment”, specified the Head of the regional executive power.

Ivan Belozertsev offered Dmitry Rogozin to consider a possibility of conducting the All-Russian sectoral vocational guidance “CosmosProfi” on the basis of RIPM and the available universities and colleges. For this purpose the following institutions can be involved: Penza State University, IT-college and “Quantorium NEL” technopark.
