On August 23rd the first batch of sunflower oil produced by “Penzenskiy” oil factory with the total load of 500 tons embarked form Penza-4 station to a Chinese customer in Manchuria.
The oil export became feasible due to an agreement between “Rusgrain” group of companies and Chinese partners, concluded on May 23rd, 2019 in Cheboksary in the framework of the third meeting of the Council for Interregional “Volga-Yangtze” Cooperation supported by the Government of Penza region. The project of partnership development between the regions of Volga Federal District in Russia and the provinces located along the Yangtze River in China is being implemented at the ordinance of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.
For the two upcoming years the company from Penza is planning to monthly dispatch 4000 tons of agricultural products to China including sunflower oil, soy and crops to the sum of over 300 million rubles.
Shipments of rapeseed oil and soy via full container trains from Penza to Chongqing are scheduled in September - October.
“Development of the export potential is one of the priority targets of the region within the project “Small and medium business and support to sole entrepreneurs” – commented the Minister of Regional Economy Sergey Kapralov.- In the framework of the regional project “Acceleration of small and medium business” being a part of a national project, the Ministry of Economy of Penza region has organized activities devoted to signing of export contracts by representatives of small and medium business. We assume to arrange export agreements for at least 135 entrepreneurs and companies till 2024, 29 of which should enter foreign markets before the end of 2019”.

The national project “Small and medium business and support to sole entrepreneurs» was approved by the Decree of the President of Russia of 07.05.2018 No 204 “On national goals and strategic objectives of development of the Russia Federation up to 2024”. The project is intended to develop, improve and support business as well as to make entrepreneurship popular among people.
