Ivan Belozertsev and Dirk Wesjohann discussed questions of cooperation on the premises of a business incubator in Nikolsk district on Wednesday, September 25th, 2019.

“Aviagen Turkeys Rus” LLC. is an affiliate of “Aviagen Group” – one of the leading global companies in the poultry and fish production market. The company owns genetic turkey-breeding centers in the USA and Great Britain and takes up the world’s leading positions in the field of pedigree turkey supply.

In Penza region, in the territory of Nikolsk district, the holding is implementing the investment project “Construction of an industrial complex for hatchable turkey egg production”.

The project provides for the creation of 10 poultry plants producing hatchable turkey eggs with high genetic potential. The total capacity of the facilities will be 8 million eggs per year.

At the present time, the poultry-houses are at the final stage of construction, a part of the facilities has been built, put into operation, and populated with poultry. The construction of the engineering infrastructure is complete.

During the meeting, the head of the regional executive power highlighted the expediency and mutual profitability of the project under implementation, both for “Aviagen” company and for its business partners, including “Damate” corporation. 

“We have quite a lot of foreign companies operating and investing in business development on Penza land”, explained Ivan Belozertsev.

“For example, a Singaporean holding is developing dairy farming. A French company processes sugar beet, a Turkish one cultivates plants. With the involvement of investors from Germany, some large investment projects are implemented at “Mayak” production enterprise. One of the most powerful is “Damate” group of companies”, he emphasized.

“It is due to this company that we have made a decision to create the production here”, reciprocated Dirk Wesjohann.

“And when we saw this place, we understood that we had made the right decision”, he added.

The head of the subject of the Russian Federation also informed about types of state support to investors establishing enterprises in the territory of Penza region.

For Nikolsk district the launch of new production plants is not just of economic importance, but of social one as well – 120 new jobs will be created in the territory of the municipal unit.
