On Wednesday, September 25th, 2019, the Governor took part in a panel discussion on issues of investment development in the territory of the above-mentioned municipal unit.

The discussion embraced Dirk Wesjohann, the owner of “Aviagen Group”, Clay Burrows, managing director of “Aviagen Turkeys”, Valeriy Lidin, the chairman of the Legislative Assembly of Penza region, representatives of the regional government, as well as managers of a number of Penza’s companies.

Addressing the participants of the panel discussion, the head of the regional executive power thanked the owner of “Aviagen Group” for implementing the project in the territory of Penza region, pointed the importance of creating a full production cycle: from a hatchable turkey egg to a product ready for consumption.

The construction of the industrial turkey eggs production plant is being implemented by an affiliate – “Aviagen Turkeys Rus” LLC. The project provides for the opening of 10 farms intended to grow parental herds and produce hatchable eggs.

“The opening of the turkey egg production plant in Nikolsk district is a great event”, highlighted Ivan Belozertsev.

“8 million eggs per year is a good figure. I hope, you won’t stop at it and will develop your production even further», - he added.

Also, he noted successful activities of “Damate” company, known in Russian and abroad. He reminded about the measures of state support applied by the said agro-holding in the framework of concluded investment agreements.

Besides, Ivan Belozertsev pointed out the importance of creating new jobs which of great significance for strengthening the social stability in Nikolsk district.

During the meeting, “Aviagen” company showed a presentation of its activities.
