Ivan Belozertsev highlighted this idea at a video conference with heads of city districts and municipal units on Monday, September 30th, 2019.
“Last week we opened an ultra-modern facility of “Aviagen” company producing hatchable turkey eggs. The implementation of the 2-billion-rubles project of creating a parent turkey herd implies building of 10 sites in Nikolsk district and creation of 120 new jobs”, reminded the head of the regional executive power.
“We need investments and we, the regional government and municipal units, are working hard to attract them to the region. “Invest Foresight” magazine publishes the rating of Russian regions’ investment activity every month. In July, we took the 11th place, in August – the 20th, and in September – quite a high position among all the regions of Russia. I consider it a positive trend that new enterprises are being established not just in the regional center, but in the districts as well”, stated his position Ivan Belozertsev.
Once again he drew the attention of district executives to the need to be even more enthusiastic in this question.
“The struggle for investors and the creation of new jobs are the main objectives for heads of districts. Don’t wait till you receive a call from the regional government and get informed about a new facility to be established. You have to display initiative yourselves, reach out to entrepreneurs, offer to implement projects in your territory”, explained the Governor.
As an example to follow he spoke about the creation of a cooperative in Bekovo district that produces maple syrup.
Ivan Belozertsev instructed the Government of Penza region to prepare a draft Agreement with heads of towns and districts on investment development of municipal territories, business support and new jobs creation by November 15th. This Agreement shall stipulate the liability of heads of municipal units and districts concerning the work in the said direction. On the basis of the results of the stated investment contracts, the regional government will assess the performance of heads of districts and towns, as well as shape the volume of regional support to municipal units and town districts.
