On October 24th, in the Penza Regional Library named after M.Yu. Lermontov, there was held a panel discussion “Easy start: export to Kazakhstan and Belarus” in the framework of the Regional Export Forum. The meeting gathered Alexander Vlasov, a department manager at the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Nizhny Novgorod, and Nikolay Simonov, the chairman of the Government of Penza region.
Nikolay Simonov noted that due to long-standing trust relationships the Republics of Kazakhstan and Belarus were major partners of Penza region, and over a third of Penza’s export fell to their share.
“Without a doubt, the Republics of Belarus and Kazakhstan are attractive for newly fledged exporters – the lack of customs barriers makes the commodity turnover simple, quick and profitable”, emphasized the chairman of the Regional Government.
It was noted at the meeting that today the main export areas from Penza region were foodstuffs and industrial goods, agricultural machine building and automobile industry, home appliances, timber-processing products.
Alexander Vlasov spoke about the features of exporting to the Republic of Belarus, shared subtleties and nuances of the said export with entrepreneurs, pointed out the most demanded goods.
At the panel discussion were considered peculiarities of the customs and tariff regulations in the Eurasian Economic Union and effective partner-searching tools in these countries.
The participants were given ready solutions in accounting and taxation when exporting, and a step-by-step guide on exporting to Kazakhstan and Belarus.
Reference. The forum for Penza regional exporters “Regional export: opportunities, support, results” was held for the purpose of implementing the Ordinance of the President of the Russian Federation of 07.05.2018 No. 204 “On national goals and strategic objectives of the development of the Russian Federation till 2024” and participating in the national project “International cooperation and export”, in which Penza region has taken part since 2019. The project is devoted to increasing the share of Russian goods export and improving the competitiveness of Russian products when entering foreign markets.
