Ivan Belozertsev discussed the issues of promoting regional goods with representatives of retail chains on Wednesday evening, November 20th, 2019.
The Governor noted that our companies provided decent competition to producers from other regions.
“Our regional producers are interested to have their goods on the shelves of large retail chains. The goods of companies operating in Penza region are produced with modern equipment, meet all the safety, quality and labeling requirements, and they should be in the stores of our region”, emphasized Ivan Belozertsev.
He pointed out that such regular actions as “Choose the goods of Penza – maintain the reputation” contributed the promotion of local products. On the one hand, they enable to beneficially present regional products to consumers, and on the other, to attract additional customers to retail chains.
“Today, the competition is high, there are many stores - that is why people will go to the place with the most favorable conditions, i.e. a good choice of high-quality products and a good balance of price and quality”, stated the Head of the region.
At the present time, retail chains have concluded 456 contracts for product supply with Penza’s producers. Mostly the range of goods supplied is diary, meat, confectionary, bakery products. The list of producers, which represent small and medium business, is quite long – over 180 companies deliver products to the trade companies of Penza region.
