The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia summed up the results of milk production for January 2020.
According to the press service of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, the volume of milk production in country's agricultural organisations amounted to 1.4 million tons in January, which is 7.8% higher than the same period in 2019. The average milk yield from one cow in agricultural organisations that do not belong to small businesses amounted to 601 kg, which is 44 kg more than last year.
Russian Ministry of Agriculture noted the Penza Oblast agricultural enterprises as being highly productive. "The increase in milk productivity was achieved in 69 regions of the country. The highest results were noted in the Kostroma and Penza Oblasts and in the Karachay-Cherkess, Ingushetia and Crimea Republics," the Ministry of Agriculture said.
