The industrial production index was 106.1%, which is the second in the Volga Federal District and the 15th in Russia. According to the agricultural production index (112.6%), the region ranks 1st in the Volga Federal District and 6th in the Russian Federation. The volume of exports increased by 3.2%: the Penza Oblast supplied its products to 86 countries of the world, 76 of which far abroad.
