On March 3, 2020, Andrey Burlakov, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Agriculture of the Penza Oblast took part in a conference call of the RF Agriculture Ministry on the development of agricultural exports. Dmitry Patrushev, RF Minister of Agriculture, held a meeting with the heads of the country's agribusiness management bodies and noted the 50 Russian Federation constituent territories' good work in the development of foreign trade. "In 2019, together with the country's constituent territories, we approved export plans until 2024. By the end of 2019, the volume of agricultural products shipped for export amounted to 25.5 billion US dollars and exceeded the plan of 24 billion US dollars. By 2024, this figure is planned to be 45 billion US dollars," the head of the federal agribusiness management body said.
Dmitry Patrushev marked the work of the leading constituent territories in achieving export volumes. The Federal Minister also noted the Penza Oblast as the region that provided the largest increase in exports.
According to the results of 2019, the Penza Oblast shipped products for export in value terms for 101 million US dollars. The region plans to increase this figure in 2020 for it to amount to 127 million US dollars.
