According to the territorial state statistics service, there is an increase in indicators in the livestock production for the first three months of 2020.
In the Penza Oblast agricultural organisations in January–April 2020, 92.5 thousand tonnes of livestock and poultry were produced for slaughter in live weight, which is 13.6% more than in the same period of 2019. In March 2020, agricultural organisations produced 33.1 thousand tonnes of livestock and poultry for slaughter in live weight, which is 15.4% more than in March 2019.
According to the results of the reporting period, the gross milk yield in agricultural organisations was 47.2 thousand tonnes, which is 19.1% more than in January-March 2019. At the end of March this year, the gross yield was 16.8 thousand tonnes, which is 24.2% more than in March last year.
For the first three months, this year milk yield per cow of the dairy herd was 2,059 kg, which is 21.4% more than in January-March 2019. In March 2020, this production index was 728 kg, which is 20.7% more than in March 2019.
At the end of March 2020, the Penza Oblast agricultural organisations got 11.3 million chicken eggs, which is 4.2% more than at the end of March 2019. The average egg production of a single laying hen increased by 5.3%.
