According to the official information of the territorial statistics service, in the Penza Oblast there is an increase in production indicators in the livestock industry.
During 4 months of 2020 the Penza Oblast agricultural organisations produced 126.5 thousand tons of livestock and poultry for slaughter in live weight, which is 13.3% more than in the same period last year. In April 2020 the production of livestock and poultry amounted to 34 thousand tons, which is 12.3% more than in April 2019.
During 4 months of 2020, the gross milk yield in agricultural organisations amounted to 64 thousand tons, which is 19.1% more than in 4 months of 2019. In April 2020, the gross yield was 16.7 thousand tons, which is 19.3% more than in April 2019.
Milk yield per cow in the Penza Oblast agricultural organisations for the reporting period amounted to 2773 kg and increased by 19.3% relatively to the same period last year. In April, the yield was 714 kg, which is 13.5% more than in April 2019.
In addition, in January-April 2020, agricultural organisations in the Penza Oblast received 42.8 million chicken eggs, with 12 million in April, which is 5.8% more than in April 2019.
