According to operative data of the Agriculture Ministry, as at May 11, 2020 daily sales of milk in agricultural organisations amounted to 50.4 thousand tons, which is 7.1% more than in 2019.
The average milk yield from one cow per day in Russia was 18.35 kg, which is 1.31 kg more than a year earlier.
The Federal Agricultural Agency listed the leading regions in this indicator. The Penza Oblast agricultural enterprises of are among the best: "The leaders among the regions in this indicator are Leningradskaya, Kaliningrad, Penza, Kaluga, Lipetsk, Vologda, Kirov, Vladimir, Sverdlovskaya, Ryazan, Tula, Moscow, Voronezh, Belgorod, Yaroslavl, Arkhangelsk and Tyumen Oblasts, Krasnodar Krai, the Republics of Crimea, Mari El and Karelia. These regions got more than 20 kg of milk per cow".
