The Governor visited the Dimitrov LP during a working trip to Belinsky district on Monday, July 6, 2020.
Last year, the farm received state more than 7 million rubles of state support.
In 2018-2019, the company built two farms for milking herds of 500 heads each. A modern milking room is currently under construction. In total, about 500 million rubles were invested in animal husbandry.
Now there are 1746 heads of cattle. The agricultural enterprise seeks to increase its cows' productivity using balanced animal nutrition.
"The conditions for keeping animals are very important, but probably the nutrition balance is much more significant, and thanks to this, you have good results in the dairy herd productivity," the Governor said.
As far as crop production is concerned, the Dimitrov LP specialises in the cultivation of grain, technical and forage crops, using 11.5 thousand hectares of land annually. In addition to cereals and legumes, the company grows sunflower, soy, rapeseed and forage crops.
It also deals with experimental crop production. So, the company is going to sow winter wheat on the field where lupine was collected.
"Lupine leaves nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium in the soil," said Pyotr Stepanyuk, Chairman of the Dimitrov LP. "If we buy and apply these mineral fertilisers to the soil, our area will require at least 60 million rubles, while we hope to get an environmentally friendly increase in yield by growing lupine".
"Your farm always has very high performance indicators, high productivity, and you are the best performers in our region," Ivan Belozertsev replied. "I constantly draw the attention of the heads of agricultural enterprises that it is necessary not to stop going further. It is necessary to constantly learn new things, get acquainted with advanced technologies, and take and use the best solutions. You are always ready to study other people's experience and improve your own. I sincerely thank you for this and believe that the result will be worthy".
