The Governor said this during his visit to the production facilities of the above-mentioned agricultural holding on Monday, August 17, 2020.
The new laboratory is designed to control the quality of manufactured food and production environment, and to check the raw materials used. The facility is designed to conduct about one million studies per year. The staff has 12 employees.
Taking the obtained data into account, specialists will be able to monitor and analyse the epizootic situation, respond to deviations in a timely manner, without resorting to the help of third-party organisations. The joint work of the laboratory, the quality department and the Damate veterinary and sanitary service will allow the enterprise to organise an operational end-to-end or "egg-to-counter" monitoring.
After getting acquainted with the capabilities of the new laboratory and evaluating the wide range of available research, as well as the efficiency of their implementation and the quality of the results, the Governor noted the importance of these processes for the entire production.
"We took part in the opening of an ultra-modern diagnostic centre, which was put into operation by Damate group - the most powerful turkey meat manufacturer not only in the Russian Federation, but also in Europe," Ivan Belozertsev said.
"The high-tech laboratory conducts a number of studies that are necessary for raising poultry and monitoring the food supply and the environment. This laboratory is one of the few in the Russian Federation. It will ensure the safety of Damate products," he stressed, while thanking the heads of the agricultural holding for investments – amounting over one hundred million rubles – in the creation of the facility in the region.
The new laboratory has 113 units of modern high-performance equipment for molecular microbiology, devices and analysers with automated sample preparation systems. The new equipment allows conducting more than 300 different types of research.
On the same day, the head of the region took part in the grand opening of the new 110/10 kV electric substation in Krivosheyevka, which will ensure the operation of the Penzamolinvest OOO thorough turkey processing plant, which is now under construction.
The facility is located in the village of Ovcharnoye in the Nizhnelomovsky district. Its launch will ensure uninterrupted power supply to the Damate enterprises' production shops.
Besides, Ivan Belozertsev held a visiting meeting on the construction site in Krivosheyevka where the housing for the agricultural holding workers is being built.
