Oleg Melnichenko announced this decision at a meeting with the region's government on Monday, April 26, 2021.
"Together with Mikhail Lisin, the Commissioner for the Protection of the Rights of Entrepreneurs and the business Community, we have done some work to form the Council. It includes representatives of Opora Rossii and the Association of Industrialists, as well as a number of our region's prominent entrepreneurs, who have been developing their businesses here since the late 80s and early 90s," the acting Governor stated.
Oleg Totsky, Okolitsa CEO, became the Chairman of the Innovation and Investment Council on a voluntary basis. He will conduct all the administrative work.
"I would like to draw your attention to the fact that the Council does not include any officials, this is our principal solution," Oleg Melnichenko stressed. "All issues related to the functioning and interaction of state authorities with the Council will be discussed at meetings where officials will be invited."
The Council is also given the right work with officials on matters falling under its authority. These are, first of all, issues related to the effectiveness of investment policy in the region.
"We will establish the entire investment policy publicly and discuss it with the business community of the Penza Oblast," Oleg Melnichenko summed up.
