The issues of road construction and the use of the infrastructure plan were discussed at a video conference under the chairmanship of Marat Khusnullin, Deputy Prime Minister, at a meeting of the presidium of the government Commission for Regional Development in the Russian Federation on Thursday, May 13, 2021.
In the Penza Oblast, 3,854,725 million rubles are allocated for the implementation of the "Safe and High-quality Roads "national project in 2021, with 2,995,000 million rubles from the federal budget, and 859,725 million rubles from the consolidated budget. The construction and reconstruction works will be carried out at 103 facilities, three of which are capital-intensive.
"Due to the increase in the federal budget and the redistribution of regional budget funds, the volume of road repairs under the "Safe and High-quality Roads" project in the Penza Oblast will be increased to 138.75 km. Initially, it was planned to repair only 86 km," Oleg Melnichenko said.
"The work will be carried out on regional and local roads. Special attention is paid to road safety measures. They include the installation of traffic lights, road signs, sidewalks repairs and arrangement of pedestrian crossings and fences," the acting governor specified.
Currently, construction works are carried out on 49 road transport facilities, including capital-intensive ones, which are being repaired ahead of schedule.
