During the nine months of 2021, 311.2 thousand tons of livestock and poultry for slaughter in live weight were produced in the Penza Oblast in farms of all forms of ownership.
Agricultural organisations produced 295 thousand tons of livestock and poultry, which is more than during the same period last year. As far as farms and individual entrepreneurs are concerned, the production indicator increased by 12.5% comparing to the level of 2020.
According to the territorial statistics service, during the reporting period 297.2 thousand tons of milk were produced in the region. Agricultural organisations produced 190.3 thousand tons of milk, which is 21.4% more than during the same period last year.
During nine months of 2021, 214 million eggs of all kinds were produced in the Penza Oblast. Agricultural organisations produced 117.3 million eggs, which is 8% more than during the same period of 2020.
