The briefing session in the regional government held on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 discussed the implementation of the national project "Small and Medium-sized Entrepreneurship and Support for Individual Entrepreneurial Initiative".
Almaz Khakimov, the Penza Oblast Minister of Economic Development and Industry, touched upon a number of regional projects aimed at supporting small and medium-sized businesses and, in particular, aimed at providing information and financial assistance to self-employed citizens, training and consulting events for Penza residents who want to open and develop their own business.
In 2021, grants for socially oriented businesses were provided in the region for the first time. They were given to enterprises in the field of upbringing and additional education of children, provision of special production, rehabilitation and other services and care for people with disabilities. Last year, 14 socially oriented enterprises received subsidies totaling more than 6 million rubles for the implementation of development projects.
Particular attention is paid to exporting companies: they are provided with assistance in entering new foreign markets and expanding the volume of export supplies. Thanks to the services of the Export Support Centre in 2021, twelve Penza companies began to ship their products outside the country for the first time, 62 enterprises concluded 148 export contracts.
Oleg Melnichenko stressed the need to provide constant support to Penza exporters, including those carrying out deliveries to China as part of the implementation of the Penza-Harbin railway logistics project.
"Individual work is needed here," the Governor noted.
"I ask you to provide explanatory work with the region's exporters," he instructed.
