Penza Businessmen Invited to Participate in International Competition
Economy 31.03.2022
The V.I. Vernadsky Non-governmental Environmental Foundation is accepting applications for the international competition called "Ecological Culture. Peace and Harmony".
For more than 10 years, the competition has been finding and supporting effective projects in the field of environmental culture formation that meet the objectives and spirit of the sustainable development goals.
The competition deals with projects aimed at:
development of ecological culture (information, education and enlightenment of various target groups);
strengthening public health through improving the quality of the environment;
introduction and development of innovative technologies in the field of environmental protection.
A project can be submitted in one of six categories:
"Sustainable Business" - applications from companies that conduct a systematic environmental policy, engage in environmental education, as well as from those whose activities are aimed at solving environmental problems.
"Ecotourism" – projects aimed at the development of eco-tourism in Russia.
"Eco-education" - for educational organisations of all levels.
"Eco-enlightment"– for organisations and people conducting educational activities for a wide audience.
"Civil eco-initiatives" - for people who have launched a private environmental project.
"Voice of Ecology: Mass Media" - for mass media that have implemented their own environmental project.
The number of project participants is usually large. In 2021, the organising committee received more than 550 applications from 62 regions of Russia and neighbouring countries.
Applications are accepted until April 15 inclusive. See more on vernadsky.ru.
The results of the competition will be announced on the Ecologist's Day, June 5. The organisers will also note the region that was most active in the competition.
