A solemn awarding of the regional stage participants of the "2021 Exporter of the Year" competition took place. At the ceremony, the heads and teams of leading small and medium-sized enterprises of the Penza Oblast were awarded.

The event was also attended by federal experts and speakers on problematic issues of export development and priorities of foreign economic activity in the current conditions.

Welcoming the participants of the regional competition, the Chairman of the regional Government Nikolay Simonov noted the great potential of the region in the production of competitive products. The volume of non-primary non-energy exports of Penza enterprises in 2021 amounted to 357.9 million US dollars, 491 enterprises shipped their products for export, and 29 companies became exporters for the first time.

The winners of the competition were:
- LesKom Trading House – Industrial Exporter of the Year
- Biokor-S – Agro-Industrial Exporter of the Year
- ArchiMed+ -- Service Exporter of the Year
- Slavia confectionery factory – Breakthrough of the year
- StankoMashStroy Co. Ltd – High-Tech Exporter of the Year
- NPP Motor Technologies – “New Geography" nomination.

The winners of the regional stage will be nominated for the district and federal stages of the best Russian exporting enterprises.

Exporting companies in the region are supported by the Ministry of Economic Development and Industry of the region, as well as the Export Support Center.
