The results of the X International Youth Industrial Forum "Engineers of the Future", organized by the Union of Machine Builders of Russia, have been summed up. This year, the forum brought together more than 1,000 young engineers, graduate students and students from 50 regions of Russia and 70 foreign countries in the Tula Oblast. More than 500 speakers came to share their knowledge and experience with students of 12 faculties. In total, about 80 round tables and master classes of the business program, 400 lectures of the educational block and about 200 events of the cultural and sports program at 19 venues were held on the sidelines of the forum.
Penza Oblast was represented at the Engineers of the Future by the team of the regional branch of the Union of Machine Builders of Russia, it included engineers of PPO EVT JSC, SVAR, StankoMashStroy, Motor Technologies, as well as students of PSU and Penza State Technical University, including citizens of Algeria, Egypt and Bangladesh.
Penza engineers focused on acquiring new skills and knowledge at the training faculties of the forum. Svetlana Balashova and Timur Zinchenko completed a project to create an aircraft wing with adaptive geometry.
Engineers were taught the basics of management, analysis and problem solving in the machine-building industry of the Russian Federation, students learned how to reduce the gap from leading countries, how to create their own technologies, and participated in specialized trainings.
In the team ranking, the Penza team took 17th place.
Igor Shchegolev, Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Central Federal District, Vyacheslav Fedorishchev, First Deputy Governor of the Tula Oblast, Boris Alyoshin, Deputy Chairman of the Union of Machine Builders of Russia, Adviser to the General Director of PJSC United Aircraft Corporation, Nikolay Volobuev, Deputy General Director of Rostec State Corporation, arrived to talk with the participants on the closing day.
During the panel discussion, the participants summed up the results of the forum and talked about the role of Russian developments in import substitution.
