According to the first half of 2022, the industrial production index in the region amounted to 105.7%, providing the Penza Oblast with the 3rd place among the regions of the Volga Federal District, while the growth rate was higher than the average in the Russian Federation (100.7%) and the Volga Federal District (101.2%).
The volume of shipped products of industrial enterprises in January – June 2022 amounted to 178.0 billion roubles, or 117% compared to the same period last year.
The average salary of workers engaged in industrial production in January - May 2022 increased by 12.6% compared to January - May 2021 and amounted to 40,131 roubles.
The growth of industrial production is ensured in the following areas: production of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers (135.1%); production of furniture (127.6%); production of leather and leather goods (113.2%); production of rubber and plastic products (107.6%).
