In the Penza Oblast, as of the reporting date, 3.1 million tons of grain were produced in agricultural enterprises with an average yield of 39 kg/ha. In particular, in the farms of the region, the gross harvest of wheat is 1.7 million tons with an average yield of 47 c / ha, the gross harvest of barley is 420 thousand tons with an average yield of 34 centner/ha, the gross harvest of oats is 58 thousand tons with an average yield of 23 centner/ha.
Technical crops in the region have been harvested from an area of 55.2 thousand hectares, which is 10% of the plan. In total, technical crops are planned to be harvested on an area of 544 thousand hectares. According to the district’s agronomic services, the gross harvest of sugar beet is 266 thousand tons with a yield of 329 centner/ha, sunflower - 4 thousand tons with an average yield of 27 centner/ha.
In farms of all forms of ownership, a potato harvest of 322.5 thousand tons was obtained, the average yield was 167 t/ha, vegetables - 44.5 thousand tons with a yield of 172 t/ha.
In the Penza Oblast, sowing of winter crops continues. Sowing was carried out on an area of 277.2 thousand hectares or 72% of the plan.
