An official delegation of the Penza Oblast government representatives and heads of 10 manufacturing enterprises took part in a business mission in St. Petersburg on November 7-10, 2022.
On the first day, a meeting was held with the Vice-Governor of St. Petersburg Kirill Polyakov and the heads of the industrial companies of the region. In his welcoming speech, Kirill Polyakov outlined the importance of interregional business cooperation in the context of import substitution.

First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Penza Oblast Aleksey Kostin presented the economic potential of the region. Mikhail Lisin, Commissioner for the Protection of Entrepreneurs' Rights, and Mikhail Antonov, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Industry of the Penza Oblast spoke about the possibilities of cooperation of industrial enterprises in the region and measures to support business.
On the second day, the heads of Penza enterprises presented their production capabilities and advantages of their products, including enterprises of machines and tools construction, instrument making, and metalworking. St. Petersburg enterprises interested in finding new suppliers and production partners attended the presentation.

The final event was a visit by the delegation of the St. Petersburg Tractor Plant, part of the Kirovsky Zavod group during which the participants discussed including the Penza companies' products in the chain of suppliers. Machine tools, industrial sinks, gearboxes, and cutting tools were particularly interesting for the St. Petersburg manufacturer.

Agreements were reached on the possibility of technical testing of products, and the participation of Penza companies in procurement procedures.
The business negotiations were organized within the signed cooperation agreement between the Governors of St. Petersburg Aleksandr Beglov, and the Penza Oblast Governor Oleg Melnichenko. The event was organized by the My Business Center of Penza with the support of the Ministry of Economic Development and Industry of the region.

By the end of this year, such business projects for Penza companies will be organized in Ulyanovsk and Yekaterinburg.
