On January 26, 2023, the VII Agronomic Forum "Development of Agricultural Production in Penza Oblast" was held. The event was held at the Penza State Agrarian University.
The forum was opened by Pavel Kulikov, Deputy Chairman of the Penza Oblast Legislative Assembly. The event was attended by Bagrat Pirumov, Deputy Head of the Rosselkhoznadzor Administration for the Republic of Mordovia and the Penza Oblast, Vasily Erkaev, Director of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Penzensky", representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Penza Oblast, administrations of regional districts, and heads of agricultural enterprises of the region.
Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Agriculture of the Penza Oblast Roman Kalentyev reported on the tasks and plans for the development of the agro-industrial complex.
"The logistics supply chains of spare parts and other material and technical resources have been restored. There were no failures during seasonal work.
For 2023, the task was set to carry out agricultural work on 1 million 562 thousand hectares. A balanced structure of acreage makes it possible to correctly predict the possible production volumes of crops, their consumption, processing volumes, and the level of exports. In 2023, promising crops for production are legumes, and peas. Oilseeds are also in demand. In the livestock industry in 2022, the planned indicators were achieved and an increase in meat production was noted," commented Roman Kalentyev.
The main topics of discussion were summarizing the 2022 results of the agro-industrial complex, the development of the livestock and crop production industry in the region, and state measures to support agricultural producers of the Penza Oblast in 2023.
"The Agroforum is an excellent platform for the exchange of experience between representatives of the agro-industrial complex in order to obtain valuable information about working solutions to support and develop the agricultural industry as a whole. Rosselkhoznadzor annually takes part in this event. Today we have presented affordable financial instruments for Penza farmers and are ready to offer them under optimal conditions," commented Aleksandr Zimnyakov, Director of the Penza branch of the Rosselkhoznadzor.
The forum was divided into sections. Agricultural producers were presented with promising directions for the development of the agro-industrial complex. For example, the use of mineral fertilizers, working with seed material, and liming soils. In addition, effective leasing solutions for agribusiness from Rosagroleasing, preferential programs of RSHB for financing the purchase of machinery and equipment were presented. The features of rural development in 2023 were also considered.
Roman Kalentyev also visited an exhibition of federal budgetary agricultural. Distribution centers presented plant protection products, seed material, and fertilizers.
