On February 2, 2023, a meeting "Insurance with state support. 2023 legislative changes" was held. The meeting was attended by the National Association of Agricultural Insurers, representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Finance, the Central Bank of Russia, and agricultural producers of the region.
The Penza Oblast initiated the meeting. At the meeting, NAAI President Korney Bizhdov talked about the results of the agricultural insurance system in 2022, including the winter insurance company, about the launch of the emergency insurance program, and development plans for the current year and subsequent periods.
Issues related to subsidizing and improving the effectiveness of insurance protection of farmers were discussed.
Korney Bizhdov noted at the meeting that the Penza Oblast has high rates of agricultural insurance development in 2022.
"The Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation set the task to ensure the maximum participation of the agricultural insurance system in compensation for damage from natural disasters to agricultural producers, and to simplify the conclusion of contracts for farmers", - explained Korney Bizhdov.
