By the end of 2022, this indicator in the region increased by 4.3%. Oleg Melnichenko, having received the operational data of state statistics, announced this on Thursday, February 9, 2023.
In the difficult economic conditions created for Russia by numerous sanctions of Western countries, exactly in half of the regions of the district, the main industrial indicator has dropped. However, the Penza Oblast came in second place, losing only to the Republic of Tatarstan.
"The industrial production index most clearly demonstrates the state of the industry. The fact that in the situation of instability of the Penza region it is possible not only to maintain, but also to increase the industrial development, is the result of the work of many enterprises," Oleg Melnichenko stressed.
"I congratulate Penza industrialists on achieving this excellent result," he added.
