Issues of implementation of national projects and federal programs of road and housing construction were discussed under the chairmanship of the RF Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin on Thursday, May 11, 2023.
At the meeting of the Presidium of the Government Commission for Regional Development, the talks on the timely conclusion and implementation of contracts were held.
"Among the regions that do this work best, I would like to mention the Nizhny Novgorod, and Penza Oblasts, the Republic of Buryatia, the Chechen Republic, the Rostov Oblast, and the Republic of Bashkortostan," said Marat Khusnullin.
"In addition, it is necessary to strengthen the work on housing construction in order to maintain the pace gained last year -- this task was set for us by the President of the Russian Federation. To do this, it is important to increase the urban development potential in the regions," he stressed.
The Ministry of Construction of Russia assesses positively the work carried out in the Penza Oblast.
The Russian government decided on the early financing of the construction of the highway east of the projected microdistrict on Pobochinskaya Street. As a result, the road should be put into operation this year.
"The Penza Oblast is noted among the best regions of Russia for the organization of road construction and repair," commented Oleg Melnichenko. "We not only comply with the deadlines for concluding contracts, but also work at a faster pace."
"Within the national project "Safe High-quality Roads", we are allocating almost 3.5 billion roubles for the reconstruction of motor transport facilities. The funds have been contracted in full. The Headquarters of the Government Commission for Regional Development supported our proposals for advanced financial support. In particular, this applies to a capital-intensive facility on the 40 Let Oktyabrya Street," the head of the region said.
By the end of this year, the Penza Oblast should achieve the national project targets: increasing the share of roads of regional and intermunicipal significance to 65.9% (2,485 km), and up to 80.05% (824 km) in the urban agglomeration.
