For the period from January to March 2023, the Penza Oblast ranks first in the Volga Federal District in milk yield per cow. The production was 2,328 kg (100.3% growth rate).
The region ranks second in the VFD in the production of livestock and poultry for slaughter in farms of all categories in January-March 2023 (116.1 thousand tons, 107.6% growth rate).
Sausage production index in Penza was 105 thousand tons (135% growth rate).
The turnover of agriculture, forestry, hunting, fishing and fish farming organizations amounted to 25.4 billion rubles (2nd place in VFD).
