According to the results of January – April 2023, 156.7 thousand tons of livestock and poultry for slaughter in live weight were produced in the Penza Oblast. In particular, agricultural organizations produced 149.1 thousand tons of livestock and poultry, which is 7.8% more than in the same period of 2022.
According to the territorial statistics service, during the reporting period, 110.9 thousand tons of milk were produced in the region, of which 76.7 thousand tons were produced in agricultural organizations.
In addition, in the four months of 2023, 98.1 million eggs of all grades were produced in the Penza Oblast, which is 9.7% more than during the same period of 2022.
