The cooperation agreement was signed by Oleg Melnichenko and Evgeny Balitsky at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
In 2022, the Penza Oblast took over the patronage of a new region of Russia on behalf of President Vladimir Putin. With the participation of Penza specialists, hospitals destroyed by the Ukrainian forces are being restored; schools, roads, heating stations and water pipelines are being repaired, and new socially significant facilities are being built.
The parties agreed to continue cooperation in trade, economic, scientific, technical and socio-cultural spheres.
"Together we can solve the problems of import substitution and personnel training, and mutually complement the agro-industrial potential of our regions. We can exchange experience and share best practices in the field of culture, education and healthcare, business and social protection, and in many other industries. I am sure that our agreement will become a starting point for many joint projects for the benefit of the Zaporozhye and Penza Oblasts, and the whole Russia," Oleg Melnichenko commented.
