The Governor's meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea to the Russian Federation took place at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
"I think it's time to advance our relations," the head of the Penza Oblast stated.
"Our region is a significant industrial and agricultural center," the governor added. There are several fields in which we are developing effectively: machine tool construction, production of electronic products, shut-off valves, and technical security equipment. The agricultural sector and the construction industry are also developing dynamically."
Oleg Melnichenko invited the Ambassador to visit the Penza Oblast to determine further ways of interaction.
"I am ready to visit your region," Sin Hong Chol replied. Upon returning to Moscow, I will bring my recommendations on cooperation with the Penza Oblast to the DPRK government."
"We are glad that the Russian people are achieving great success in protecting the socio-economic stability, even in the face of ongoing sanctions and pressure from Western countries. I would like to wish success and prosperity to the Penza Oblast," the Ambassador concluded.
