On June 27, 2023, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture of the Penza Oblast Roman Kalentyev took part in the All-Russian industry meeting "Broiler Poultry Farming in Russia: Current Conditions and Prospects of Development", which was held at the K. A. Timiryazev Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences in Moscow.
During the meeting, issues of further development of the industry, epizootic well-being, provision of medicines and feed products, breeding material, and technological equipment were discussed.
According to the results of 2022, the Penza Oblast is among the leaders in the production of poultry meat with an indicator of 350.6 thousand tons (3rd place).
As of 01.06.2023, there are 7,466,810 poultry heads in Vasilyevskaya Poultry Farm, including 436,188 laying hens.
Poultry production of Vasilyevskaya Poultry Farm in January-May 2023 amounted to 61,837.1 tons (1,613.3 tons more than last year).
In January-May 2023, 42 774.8 thousand incubation eggs were produced (5 280.6 thousand more compared to last year).
