The information was announced at a meeting of the headquarters of the Government Commission for Regional Development chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Marat Khusnullin. The head of the Penza Oblast Oleg Melnichenko took part in the meeting.
Marat Khusnullin thanked the heads of the constituent territories of Russia for the great work done by September 1, preparing schools and kindergartens for the new academic year. He particularly noted the regions restoring educational institutions in the new territories of Russia.
"We have introduced 186 educational facilities, some overhauled, reconstructed, some newly built. 62 main regions are engaged in restoration," Marat Khusnullin informed.
The Penza Oblast is helping to renovate social institutions and road facilities located in Zaporozhye and in the Donetsk Oblast.
"We did a great job in difficult conditions, for which I want to thank the heads of regions and their teams," the Deputy Prime Minister added.
He also reported on innovations in legislation that significantly simplify the preparation of construction documentation in a number of areas. He announced the figures related to housing construction.
"Almost 70 million square meters of housing have been introduced in the country, we have never introduced that by September 1. This is your systematic work, your merit," stressed Marat Khusnullin, addressing the heads of regions. "But please mind that the pace cannot be reduced."
The meeting considered the implementation of regional infrastructure projects at the expense of budget loans in order to advance financing of construction. The Penza Oblast is named among the regions that fulfill this task completely, in particular regarding road facilities.
"The mechanism of infrastructure budget loans allows the regions to solve large–scale issues - to reconstruct and build important capital-intensive facilities," Governor Oleg Melnichenko said, commenting on the topic of the meeting.
"Thanks to the advanced financing, we managed to put into operation ahead of schedule a colossal motor transport facility in Penza, a new school in the City of Sputnik. By the end of this year, we will build a highway in Penza," the head of the region listed.
In addition, a new 550-seat school is being built ahead of schedule in Bessonovka, and the highway between the villages of Abashevo in the Spassky district and Pani in the Narovchatsky district. Transport facilities and road structures are renovated within the project "Safe High-quality Roads".
