The guests visited the enterprises for processing of turkey in the Nizhnelomovsky district.
The Damate Group plants are located in close proximity to each other, being part of a large-scale investment project for the production of turkey with a capacity of 207 thousand tons per year, implemented in the Penza Oblast. To date, these are the largest turkey processing plants in Russia and Europe.
"In 2022, Damate produced 216 thousand tons of turkey meat in slaughter weight, which is 8% more than in 2021. 166 thousand tons were produced in the Penza Oblast," Oleg Melnichenko stressed.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Russian Federation Dmitry Krutoy highly assessed the production capacities of Damate enterprises.
"The company's production facilities have no analogues in Russia in terms of equipment and the number of innovative solutions implemented: information technology and artificial intelligence," Dmitry Krutoy said.
The Damate Group has been firmly holding the first place in turkey production in the country and in Europe for five years, and ranks fifth in the world.
In addition to processing, the Damate plants include all stages of production: incubation, rearing and fattening of poultry, production of compound feeds, and crop production. The project has been implemented in the Penza Oblast since 2012, and it is currently close to finish.
