Students of Penza school "Progress" won bronze medals at the international robotics festival "Robofinist 2023". In total, more than 1,500 roboticists from Russia and friendly countries took part in the competition.
Kirill Khramov, Sofya Mikulyak and Yekaterina Burtseva, led by Mikhail Kochmaryov and Galiya Kuramshina, presented a prototype of the Green Line robotic complex developed by them in the Free Creative Category. The sample consists of several mobile robots serving a fully automated seed planting line in industrial greenhouses. The project was highly assessed by the judges, and became best in terms of cybernetic complexity.
Work on the project has been underway since last year. Several 3D printers were used to print the necessary components and assemblies developed by the students themselves, as well as a laser cutting machine and equipment for working with electronic components. It was also possible to connect more than five controllers and microcomputers into a single system, while programming was carried out in three different environments.
Despite the fact that the students are only 11-12 years old, this is not their first victory. They have already won prizes at various competitions and Olympiads, including national and international level.
