The solemn ceremony of handing over buses to educational institutions of the region took place on the Jubilee Square in Penza.
More than 140 million rubles were allocated from the federal budget for the purchase of school buses in 2023. The vehicles fully comply with all standardsfor the transportation of schoolchildren. They will deliver students to schools in 24 districts of the Penza Oblast, as well as to two Penza educational institutions – LyceumNo. 52 and the Provincial Cadet School.
"Big words of gratitude to our President for supporting the School Bus project. It is very important to create all conditions for children to get to school in safety and comfort, so that parents can be calm for them. In 2024, it is planned to transfer another 50 buses to schools in our region. We have completely updated the school transportin the Penza Oblast," the governor stressed.
In total, 327 school buses run in the region, delivering more than 7,500 students to schools.
The older machines, which are in satisfactory technical condition, are transferred to other social organizations.
