The grand opening of this new educational facility took place in the Luninsky district. Oleg Melnichenko emphasized that the school should serve the local population and attract students, parents, and teachers. He added that the building should be integrated into the community and fully utilize its potential. The modern, two-story building with 160 seats can accommodate 14 classrooms, a gym, a dining room, and a medical center. Digital labs have been set up for physics, chemistry, biology, and computer studies. Special workshops are available for boys and girls.
An elevator has been installed in the building. It also has its own boiler room and garage, and two minibuses have been provided by the government to students so they can attend classes from not only Bolshoy Vyas but also neighboring villages.
Additionally, the governor noted that teachers and students can utilize these buses to travel between neighboring districts or to the central region for sports, cultural events, or excursions. Oleg Melnichenko suggested that a new school be named after Aleksandr Votchnikov, a local resident who died while on a mission during the special military operation. Votchnikov had been posthumously awarded the Order of Courage for his heroic actions.
At the next meeting of the legislative assembly, the governor will be presenting a proposal to name the school after Aleksandr.
