By the end of 2023, Damate Group increased turkey production by 10% to 237 thousand tons in slaughter weight.
The production growth is the result of systematic implementation of the company's poultry projects in the Penza and Rostov Oblasts, and the launch of a breeding reproducer for turkey incubation eggs in the Tyumen Oblast.
In the Penza Oblast in 2023, the company produced 183 thousand tons of turkey in slaughter weight, which is 11% more than in the same period of 2022. Stable growth in turkey production at the complex in is the result of a project to expand capacity to 207 thousand tons of products per year.
"Damate Group is a long-standing and reliable partner of the Penza Oblast. We are interested in new investment projects in the region, high-tech enterprises, and modern jobs," the governor stressed. "Penza turkey has already become our brand, it is sold in other regions of the country, and export trade is actively developing, which has become especially important in recent years."
As part of the expansion project, the company is building two poultry farming units in the Penza Oblast at a cost of 6.9 billion rubles. The project is financially supported by Rosselkhoznadzor.
Work is underway in the village of Bolshaya Elan, Penza Oblast: each block consists of three poultry breeding grounds, on which 64 poultry houses are located. The total number of birds is about 900 thousand heads. The launch is scheduled for the end of 2024. This will increase turkey production by 22.6 thousand tons in slaughter weight per year and reach the planned capacity of the project.
