Oleg Melnichenko Plans to Continue Updating Hospital Equipment in Penza Oblast

As part of the health care modernization program, more than 538 million rubles were allocated for equipment upgrades in regional hospitals of the Penza Oblast in 2024.
A mammograph was installed in the Issa district hospital. To accommodate this device, which cost more than 8 million rubles, a major renovation of the hospital building was carried out. More than one and a half million rubles have been allocated from the budget of the Penza Oblast for this purpose. Now the mammograph is working in test mode, full-fledged work will begin after the necessary documentation is prepared.
"We will continue to equip hospitals in the districts of the region with modern machines," the governor stressed. I instructed the Ministry of Health to take measures to increase the number of preventive medical examinations. This indicator should be at least 70%. High-quality timely medical examinations can reduce the risks of morbidity, and increase the life expectancy of our citizens."
In the near future, the mammograph will also be delivered to the Kolyshlei regional hospital.
In September-October, it is planned to deliver new magnetic resonance imaging devices to Penza and Serdobsk district hospitals.
A CT scanner will be delivered to the Zemetchino district hospital by the end of the year.
