The "House of Officers" center hosted a B2B session for the Penza Oblast and Shaanxi Province of China business communities.
The main objective of the forum is to expand interregional cooperation, which is one of the priority areas for the development of Russian-Chinese relations.
The forum was attended by leading enterprises and educational institutions of the Penza Oblast, the representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and more than 20 companies from the Shaanxi Province that work in the field of green energy, digital technologies, heavy and light industry, transport and logistics, housing and communal services, trade and business consulting.
Before the event, the head of the Penza Region and the governor of Shaanxi Province visited the exposition, where local producers and higher educational institutions presented their work.
Oleg Melnichenko reminded that last year the Penza delegation signed several business agreements in the Shaanxi Province. Three delegations from China have already paid a return visit to the Penza Oblast, and first contracts have been signed. The "Kuznetsky Elevator" and "VanSlad" companies will supply their products to China, and the recipe of confectionery products has been finalized taking into account the requests of Chinese buyers.
Penza enterprises also set up production facilities in Shaanxi Province. In November, Stankomashstroy became the first Russian resident of the Xianyang high-tech zone with a machine tool plant project. Another Penza mechanical engineering company also plans to open production facilities in this zone for the Chinese market.
Oleg Melnichenko stressed that the Penza Oblast is ready to offer businesses from China favorable investment conditions.
"We have the necessary of raw materials," he stated. There are sites for the construction of various processing plants: oil extraction, flour milling, and mushroom factories. There are strong developments in the field of mechanical engineering, instrumentation, and pharmaceuticals. We invite our Chinese partners to consider the possibility of creating joint production facilities for agricultural and municipal machinery, components, office equipment, furniture accessories, equipment for the food and pharmaceutical industries."
Zhao Gang called Shaanxi Province and Penza Oblast "friend regions". He recalled that an agreement on cooperation in trade, economic, scientific, technical and humanitarian spheres was signed last year.
"This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and China," stated the Shaanxi Province governor. The heads of our states support further cooperation. Strategic agreements between our countries are being strengthened by practical cooperation between our regions. The development of industrial production is of great importance for our great countries."
Zhao Gang said that he sees great potential for cooperation between Shaanxi Province and the Penza Oblast.
"Shaanxi has a dynamically developing economy," he said. We are a province of energy, with a reserve of natural resources, a high level of development of the oil and coal-chemical industry, educational, technological and innovative spheres."
"We have carried out a number of investment activities in the machine tool industry with the Penza Oblast, and we have achieved good results," added the Shaanxi governor. The forum will allow representatives of the business community to get a closer look at the opportunities of our regions and determine the direction and scope of further cooperation that will strengthen the relations between Russia and China."
