In the first quarter of 2024, the regional industrial production index was 115.1%.
According to this indicator, the Penza Oblast ranked 5th among the regions of the Volga Federal District and 14th in Russia.
Most of all, production increased in the following types of economic activity: production of computers, electronic and optical products – 151.1%; production of furniture – 141.6%; production of medicines and materials used for medical purposes – 120.6%; production of textiles – 119%; wood processing and production of wood products – 114.5%; production of furniture-141.6%, paper and paper products – 114.5%.
The volume of products shipped in January-March of this year increased by 31.2% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 119.9 billion rubles (including 35% increase in manufacturing industries).
The average salary of industrial employees increased by 24.2% compared to the same period of 2023 and amounted to 54.5 thousand rubles.
