It was noted that the Penza Oblast has achieved good results in the food and processing industry. The index of agricultural production last year was 106.8%, and the food production index was 108.1%, which is higher than the national average. This allows not only to meet the internal needs of the region, but also to successfully export agricultural products to foreign markets.

Animal husbandry industry has also shown progress. In the first quarter of 2024, the region produced more than 121 thousand tons of livestock and poultry, and more than 96 thousand tons of milk, which is more than last year.

During the meeting, the parties also discussed the "Ecology" national project in the Penza Oblast in 2024. Today, within the federal project, a pond is being cleared in Penza. The work is scheduled to be completed in December this year.

The federal project "Forest Conservation" is aimed at restoring forests and reducing damage from forest fires. The main goal is to ensure a 100% balance of forest disposal and reproduction by the end of 2024.

"Since 2021, the amount of funding for the state program for the Development of Forestry in the Penza Oblast has increased by a third: from 334 to 441 million rubles," Oleg Melnichenko emphasized. At the same time, the budget of the Penza Oblast accounts for 76% of the increase in funding (from 66 to 116.5 million rubles)."

More than 205 million rubles were allocated from the federal budget for the period from 2021 to 2024 for the "Forest Conservation" regional project. 56 units of forest fire and forestry equipment, and 179 units of special equipment were purchased.
