According to the results of January-May of this year, the processing industry of the Penza Oblast continued to grow and amounted to 106.4 %.
High rates are observed in the processing of meat and meat products (106.3 %), of which the growth rate of poultry meat production was 102.8 %, meat production was 103.4 %, and meat processing and canning amounted to142.2 %. During this period, meat and meat products were shipped in the amount of 30.3 billion rubles, or 127.1 % compared to the same period last year.
The growth rate of dairy production was 112.9 %, and sales amounted to 4.3 billion rubles (116.0 %).
The increase in production in the meat and dairy industries is supported by an increase in the production of ready-made animal feed, which was recorded at the level of 103.5 %, in monetary terms it was shipped for 3.8 billion rubles (124.3 %).
In the production of bakery and flour confectionery products, there is also an increase of 109.3 %, the shipment of products amounted to 3.3 billion rubles (123.9 %), and the growth rate of sugar production was 163.8% (the shipment of 10.0 billion rubles (147.6%).
In total, large and medium-sized enterprises of the food industry for 5 months of 2024 shipped food products in the amount of 63.0 billion rubles (133.6 %).
